LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer (Gloria “Mawmaw” Vincent) Leger, 65, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur with Douglas Broyles officiating. Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Leger died at 11:45 p.m., Sunday, October 19, 2014 in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Leger was a native of Crowley and a 49 year resident of Lake Arthur and a high school graduate. She enjoyed keeping children so she operated a daycare from her home. She also enjoyed shopping, loved to cook and to listen to Christian music. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Arthur. She is survived by her husband, Elmer Leger of Lake Arthur; mother, Anna Sonnier Vincent of Morse; one daughter, Michele Lynn Corona and husband Rolando of Lake Arthur; one son, Randy Leger and wife Penny of Lake Arthur; one sister, Elaine Olivier of Crowley; three brothers, Calvin Vincent and wife Rosie of Texas City, Kenneth Vincent and wife Sherry of Morse, Bufford Vincent of Lafayette; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Leger is preceded in death by her father, Alton J. Vincent; and one son, Barry Paul Leger.
