Gerald Benoit

Gerald James Benoit, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, at the age of 81 in his cherished home of Lake Arthur, Louisiana.

Gerald was a man of many passions. He found joy in woodworking, often crafting beautiful pieces that reflected his creativity and craftsmanship. In his spare time, he often enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and sharing meals with his family and friends.

Gerald is survived by his daughters LaDonna (David Trahan) Benoit, Shannon Wright, Charlotta (Matt) Benoit, Dharma (Joel) Trahan, Bridget (Darin) Perkins, and sons Jason Benoit and Kevin (Shannon) Benoit; sister, Dolores (Gerald) Bossley; brothers, Roger (Nancy) Benoit and Steven (Carolyn) Benoit; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation for Gerald will be held at Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur, LA on Friday June 20, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. A funeral service with Military Honors will be held at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m., with Brother Jared Thomas officiating.

Following his service, the family has chosen to honor Gerald's wishes of cremation.

As we gather to celebrate Gerald's remarkable life, we will carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and family togetherness, forever remembering his warm presence and everlasting influence in our lives.
