JENNINGS
Mr. Gene David Fontenot, 58, passed away at 7:20 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2020 in the Jeff Davis Living Center.
Mr. Fontenot was a lifelong resident of Evangeline/Jennings and worked as a roustabout in the oilfield.
His body will be cremated under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Survivors include one sister, Dolores (Tony) Crader of Basile; one brother, Robert (Sarah) Fontenot of Iota; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Edna Dietz Fontenot, Sr.; and one brother, Lester Fontenot, Jr.
