Funeral services for Mr. Forrest Antoine Kibodeaux, Jr., 68, of Lake Arthur, will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating.  Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Kibodeaux will begin Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the 11:30 a.m. service time.

Mr. Kibodeaux was born in Jennings on April 19, 1953, to Forrest Antoine and Eva Doucet Kibodeaux.  He passed away on September 21, 2021, at Jennings American Legion Hospital in Jennings.

Mr. Kibodeaux worked as a cook on dredging boats.  He loved to cook and enjoyed his job immensely.  He loved to travel, and he adored his grandchildren.  Mr. Kibodeaux was always willing to help anyone who could use an extra pair of hands. 

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen Domingue Kibodeaux; daughters, Eva (Frank Epperly) Kibodeaux and Jacquetta (Donnie) Pena, all of Welsh; three sisters, Joan Kibodeaux and Dorothy Leger of Lake Arthur, and Theresa (John) Minden of Jennings; two grandchildren, Darion Gatte and Bentley Pena; and one great grandchild, Jaxson Gatte.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandchild, Madison Gatte.
