Eugene Kershaw, Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Eugene Joseph Kershaw, Sr., will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Trey Ange officiating.   Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. 

Visitation for Mr. Kershaw will begin at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2023, and will close at 8:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning and continue until 9:30 a.m. in time to leave for church.

Mr. Kershaw was born on January 19, 1940, in Jennings, to Samuel and Olive LeJeune Kershaw.  He was a high school graduate and went on to work for the Jefferson Davis School Board as a bus driver.   He was member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a member of the Adoration Chapel and a former Eucharistic Minister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kelly (Eddie) Istre; sons, Scott (Sandra) Kershaw and Travis (Joy) Kershaw; a brother, James (Charlene) Kershaw; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nettie LeBlanc Kershaw; two sons, Eugene Kershaw, Jr. and Toby Kershaw and two brothers, Sam Kershaw and Brenis Kershaw, Sr.
