Eric Paul Jeanise

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eric Paul Jeanise, who departed this life on April 19, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on September 21, 1952, in Jennings, Louisiana, Eric lived a life filled with love and hard work.

Eric was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Lake Arthur, Louisiana. He dedicated more than 30 years of service as a Registered Nurse with Oschner in New Orleans, where he cared for others with compassion and commitment. Eric enjoyed listening to music, dogs, and found joy in life's simple pleasures. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the care he shared with so many.

He is survived by his cousin, Theresa Jeanise and extended family and friends who will cherish his memories.

Family and friends are invited to join the celebration of Eric's life. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, starting at 10:00 AM, and continue until the time of service. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM the same day with Rev. Craig Davis officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date in Saint Paul Catholic Cemetery in Elton, Louisiana under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Jeanise and Irene Fontenot Jeanise.

The family would like to express a huge appreciation to LAMM Hospice and his care takers Lacie Kershaw and Chris Melton for all of the loving care they have given him.
