Mr. Elmo Michael Istre passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018, in a Lake Charles Hospital. Mr. Istre expressed his wishes to be cremated with no services and his family is honoring those wishes.

He was a resident of Elton for the past two years after moving there from DeRidder. He was a pipefitter in the Oil and Gas Industry for many years. He was also a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Istre of Elton; a daughter, Stephanie Lejeune of Moss Bluff; sons, Mike Quebodeaux of Texas; Quentin Paul Deshotel of Lafayette; three sisters, Coma Manuel of Ragley; JoAnne Brinson of Jennings; Melissa Robinson of Moss Bluff; three brothers, Earl Istre of Hathaway; “Axel” Istre of Roanoke; six grandchildren and two great grand children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Wilda Leger Istre and one brother, Nelson “Tattoo” Istre, Jr.
