Eli Joseph Landry, Jr., 77, a lifelong resident of Jennings, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at his home in Jennings.

Mr. Eli was born on July 30, 1945, in Jennings to Eli and Alice McLean Landry. He was a high school graduate and worked in the oil industry most of his life.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, four sons, Brian Landry of LeBleu, Scotty Landry of Jennings, Byron Landry of Lake Arthur, Timothy (Bridget) Istre of Jennings; sister, Faye (Joe) David of Scott; brothers, Wilbert “Bono” Landry of Lake Arthur, Johnny Landry of Lake Arthur, Edward “Ed” (Merlene) Landry of Jennings, Tholen “TJ” (Deanna) Landry of Kinder, Mike (Peggy) Landry of Florida, Allen Landry of Monroe; sister in law, Nora Landry of Jennings; five grandchildren, Savannah Landry, Cody Greer, Madison Istre, Tabitha Istre, Christopher Gaspard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is now resting in heaven with his parents; brothers, Kenneth, Joe and Curtis Landry; and his sister-in-laws, Alice, Peggy and Charlotte Landry.

The family is honoring his wishes of cremation.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
