Jennings Funeral services for Mrs. Elgie Fontenot Hylton, 87 will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Gatte officiating . Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mrs. Hylton died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 7:30 a.m. in the Jeff Davis Living Center Mrs. Hylton was a native of Evangeline and resident of Roanoke. She was a retired sales clerk for Western Auto with 25 years of service and for Silvermans with 20 years of service. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Daniel Danny Hylton and wife Debbie of Jennings, and a daughter, Linda Lay and husband Billy of Jennings and a sister, Mrs. Velma LeGros of Jennings, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mrs. Hylton was preceded in death by her parents, Duplese and Eula Laughlin Fontenot, her husband, Burton Hylton, her sister, Norma Myers and her brother Elroy Fontenot.
