Edward Duhon, Jr.

It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward J Duhon Jr. (Junior, Ed), who left us on December 22, 2025, at the age of 68.

He was born on May 25, 1957 in Jennings, La., to Edward & Cardia Lee Duhon. Ed had fond memories growing up in Jennings, La., playing little league baseball, neighborhood baseball & jamming out with friends forming hard rock bands. He also lived in West Palm Beach, Fl & Hammond, La area.

Ed was a loving husband, loyal brother & fun loving poppie/pawpaw & uncle to his step grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Ed was a free spirited, big hearted, the party never stops guy. He opened his heart & home to anyone in need.

Ed spent many fulfilling years as a greens supervisor at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Fl. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching Saints football & spending time with family & friends. He especially enjoyed his visits with his step grandchildren & with Kaylee, Morgan & Peyton who will miss seeing their uncle walk thru the door for an unexpected visit & tell stories of his past.

Ed is survived by his wife, Rhonda Person Duhon; his brothers, Butch (Debbie) Duhon and Terry (Judy) Duhon; his sister, Cardia (Tookie) Herpin; his step children, Kori, Justin & Christopher Hanks & step grandchildren Ava & Elin Abshire, Brody Hanks & Robbie Hanks and numerous nieces & nephews.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Cardia Lee Duhon; one infant brother, Harold D Duhon; his grandparents, Norbert & Alice Duhon, Cleve & Clemence Regan, Evelyn Derouen & Ovey Legros; and his in laws, Mel & Della Person.

A memorial gathering of family & friends will be held at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, La, on Tuesday December 30th, 2025, from 10:00 am until the time of his service starting at 2:00 pm, with Father Keith Pellerin officiating.

He will be laid to rest in Garden Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Jennings under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
