Edith Grimes

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Roy Grimes, 91, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in the Miguez Funeral Home South Chapel with Jack Harris officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, and from 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. Mrs. Grimes died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Grimes was a native of Rayne and a lifelong resident of Jennings. Mrs. Grimes was a member of First Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Fritz Williams, Beverly and Glynn Stevens, all of Jennings; one son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Judy Grimes of Lafayette; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Grimes is preceded in death by her husband Adolph Doc Grimes.
