Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Hymel Fletcher, 93, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur with Rev. Craig Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning until the time of service.

Mrs. Fletcher passed away 12:48 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021, in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. She was born on March 26, 1928, in Lake Arthur to parents, Richard and Eucrelia Richard Hymel.

Mrs. Fletcher enjoyed yard work, planting flowers, doing embroidery, and spoiling her grandbabies.

She is survived by one son, Bryant (Judy) Fletcher, Jr. of Lake Charles; one daughter, Bridget Carroll of Eunice; three grandchildren, Lana (Chris) Tyler, Jared (Amber) Fletcher, Kerri (Nick) Daigle; and four great grandchildren; Barrett, Bryant, Madeline, and Talen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Bryant “Sonny” Fletcher, Sr.; son in law, Virgil Carroll; two sisters, Eula Mae Weeks, Marie Hymel; and one brother, Allen Hymel.
