Don Reed

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Don Paul Reed, a beloved father, brother, and friend. Born on February 2, 1981, in New Iberia, Louisiana, Don passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at the age of 44.

Don was a true son of the soil, dedicating his life to farming, where he cultivated both the land and strong family ties. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life-whether fishing in a quiet lake or catching turtles, he found joy in every moment spent outdoors. He will be remembered for his warm smile, genuine laughter, and the unwavering love he held for his family.

He is survived by his partner, Jennifer Regan; daughters, Peyton (Luke) Reed, Laura Reed, Lykan Reed, Patience Reed, Zoie Hebert, Carlie (Trey) Hebert; sons, Leyton (Alaina) Reed, Breydon Reed, Alex Hebert, and Caden Hebert; and his sister Tammy Reed. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment shared with them.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Miguez Funeral Home on Tuesday May 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday May 21, 2025, at 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

A cremation is to follow the visitation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

As we come together to celebrate Don's life, we encourage everyone to share their favorite memories, stories, and laughter, just as he would have wanted. Don's spirit will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know him. He will be deeply missed.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Alta Reed.
