Debbie Roy

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Layne Roy, age 71, who left this world on June 13, 2025, in Jennings, Louisiana.

Born on January 28, 1954, in Richmond, Indiana, to Jerry and Elaine Arceneaux, Debbie lived a life full of compassion and love, cherished by all who knew her.

Debbie will be remembered as a devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. She spent several years as a respiratory therapist, dedicating herself to helping others, before embracing the role of homemaker to raise her beloved family. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support provided a warm and loving home for her five sons.

She is survived by her loving mother, Elaine Arceneaux; her children, Storey Roy, Kendal Roy, Jerry ("J.J.") Roy, Kerry Roy, and Keifer Roy; her brothers, Keith Arceneaux (Joan) and Greg Arceneaux (Cindy); and her sisters, Toni Arceneaux Kershaw and Michelle Arceneaux; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Debbie's family will forever cherish the memories of her kindness, laughter, and love.

Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.

Memorial visitation for Debbie will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, beginning at 1:00 PM and will continue until 5:00 PM.

Deborah Layne Roy will be missed profoundly, but her spirit and love will remain with us forever.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Arceneaux; her husband, Donald "Keith" Roy; siblings, Rickey Arceneaux and Kathleen Arceneaux; maternal grandparents, J.W. "Greasy" Meche and Vivian Blanchard Meche; and paternal grandparents, Robert Lee ("Pal") Arceneaux and Kathleen Greene Arceneaux.
