Jennings
Funeral services for Daniel Scott “Scotty” Crader, 45, of Jennings, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bubba McCann officiating. Burial will follow in Mermentau Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation for Scotty will begin on Wednesday, July 8, at 3:00 p.m. and continue until closing at 8:00 p.m. It will resume Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Scotty was born on August 10, 1974, in Lake Charles, LA, and grew up in Mermentau, LA. Throughout his life, Scotty worked as a safety consultant in the oil and gas industry for many years for various companies. He worked hard to provide for his family and cherished spending time with them. If you know Scotty, you know he loved anyone and everyone he met. He always made sure everyone else was taken care of even before himself. He often enjoyed cooking, having a great time with family and friends, and drinking a cold one. Scotty's legacy is distilled into his children, and their memories of him will never be forgotten.
Those left to treasure his memory are daughters, Summer Crader of Egan, Adelynn Crader of Oakdale and Courtney Landry of Hathaway; sons, Hunter (Mary) Crader of Jennings, Braylon Crader, Dawson Crader and Cohen Crader all of Oakdale; his mother, Lorraine (Floyd) Lepretre; sister, Katrina (Dwayne) Fontenot of Hathaway; three brothers, Micah (Krystal) Crader of Eunice; Joey (Cathy) Crader of Port Arthur, Sean Crader of Laporte, TX; two step sisters, Ronda (Ray) Breaux of Hathaway, Tammy (Bumper) Richard of Evangeline; one step brother, Brian Lepretre of Mermentau; Grandchildren, Marshall and Ivy Crader, and Oakley Hebert; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dupleisse “Red” Crader, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Crader, Brenda Primeaux, Joey Crader, Michael Shane Crader, Harry Crader, Jr. and Melvin LeBlanc, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Braylon Crader, Dawson Crader, Cohen Crader.
