Claudia "Deanie" Benoit

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Claudia Deanie Bertrand Benoit, 68, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. John Couch officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Jennings, LA Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today, Sunday; and from 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. Mrs. Benoit died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Benoit was a native of Crowley and a resident of the Jennings/Hathaway area for 50 plus years. She was a 1958 graduate of Crowley High School and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Mrs. Benoit was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Nasondra and Dean Parsley of Jennings; two sons, Philip Benoit of Jennings and Bradley Benoit and wife Katie of Arnauldville, LA; one sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Calvin Mire of Crowley, LA; and grandchildren, Brett, Brent, and Brandon Benoit, Claudia and Claire Parsley and Cheyenne Benoit; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Benoit was preceded in death by her parents, L.J. and Lois Bertrand; her husband, Nason E. Benoit and a granddaughter, Hannah Parsley. Pallbearers will be Phil, Brad, Brett and Brent Benoit, Dean Parsley and Calvin Mire.
