Christa Credeur

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christa Credeur, (you may also know her as Bee, Gam, and Ton Tont) who left this world on June 17, 2025, at the age of 51. Born in Jennings, Louisiana, and a resident of Arnaudville, Louisiana, Christa passed peacefully, surrounded by those who loved her most, after a courageous and hard-fought nine-month battle against one of the most aggressive and painful cancers (Bile Duct Cancer). She is finally at rest and no longer in pain.

Christa was a force to be reckoned with - tough, loyal, funny, and full of life. One of the strongest women we've ever known, she met every obstacle with unmatched strength and grit. Even in the hardest moments, she never stopped being herself - bold, loving, and unapologetically Christa.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and spoiling her gambabies beyond reason. She had a deep love for hunting, fishing, gardening, mud riding, bow fishing, and always living life to the fullest. Somehow, she kept her country roots while still being "bougie on a budget." She especially loved hitting that "Place Order" button on Amazon.

Christa leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. She is survived by her devoted husband, Chris Credeur, and her children: Kelsie (Briceson) Derouselle along with their children Rhyann and Braxson Derouselle; Dustin (Holly) Credeur along with their children Mila and Collins Credeur; Kalob "Turtle" (Kilie) Deshotel and their son Kane Deshotel; Cassi Credeur and children Brees and Blakely Branch and Kyzer Savoie; and Kortlin Credeur. Also left to cherish her memory are her father, Randy Benoit; her brothers, Chan (Heather) Benoit and Shane (Mena) Benoit; sister-in-law, Krystal (Blaine) Brossette; and her beloved dog and constant companion, Mocha.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Lopez, and her brother, Chase Benoit.

A celebration of Christa's life will be held on June 29th, 2025, from 9:30 a.m.  until 6:00 p.m., at the Jefferson Davis Multipurpose Building in Jennings. All who knew and loved her are invited to gather in her honor - to share stories, memories, and the deep impact she had on every life she touched.

Christa was our rock, our light, our comic relief, and our constant. Her strength shaped us. Her love carried us. And her memory will forever live on in all of us.
