Cheryl Gail McBroom

Cheryl Gail McBroom, passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 78. Cheryl was born on July 15, 1947, in Jennings, LA, and later made her home in Welsh, LA.

Cheryl was known for her generous spirit and unwavering desire to help others, always putting her loved ones before herself. She was a devoted family member, fiercely loving and cherishing her nieces and nephews. Her kindness will resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce Manuel; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends who will always cherish their memories of her.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, James McBroom; parents, Elias and Alta Comeaux; and siblings, Lee Allen Comeaux, Myrtle Faye Royle, Shirley Meche, Paul Comeaux, and Shelby Comeaux.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. A private inurnment graveside will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh, LA.
