Charles Ray Benoit

Charles Ray Benoit passed away November 28, 2021, in a Lafayette hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Trey Ange officiating. Visitation will take place Wednesday, December 1, 2021, starting at 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh, LA under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Charles was born July 1, 1935, in Welsh, La to Claude and Naomi Racca Benoit. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was also a Welsh High School graduate, Class of 1954.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Donna (Lynn) Gary and Rebecca (Ivan) Guillory, both of Jennings; sons, Greg (Janet) Benoit of Breaux Bridge, Arnold (Pam) Benoit of Jennings, Carl (Pat) Benoit of Lake Charles, Mark (Terri) Benoit of Lake Charles, and Kendall (Tara) Benoit of Jennings; sister, Hilda (Robert) McPherson of Lake Charles; brother, Jimmy (Margie) Benoit of Roanoke; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, Ruby Benoit.

Those chosen to serve as pallbearers are Brandon Benoit, Brooks Benoit, Cody Benoit, Chase Benoit, Roderick Gary II, and Kalan Gary. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Guillory, Ivan Guillory and Lynn Gary.
