Funeral services for Mrs. Carleen Martin Kopnicky, 59 of Jennings will be held on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.  Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Kopnicky will begin on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 10:30 a.m.

Mrs. Kopnicky was a resident of the Lake Arthur area for her entire life.  She worked as a bus driver for Jefferson Davis Parish School Board.  She enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and spent many hours enjoying these activities with her friends and family.  Spending time with her grandchildren was a favorite pastime as well.  Family was very important to her and anytime spent with them was a joy.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Jonny Kopnicky; daughter, Candice Kopnicky; son, Jeremy (Jessica)Kopnicky of Hathaway; sisters, Janet (Gene) Theriot and Catherine (Lark Dale) Broussard; brother, Ray Lee Martin, Jr. and four grandchildren, Braden, Landen, Charlie and Laikyn.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ray Lee Martin and Anna Belle Guidry Martin; a sister, Barbara Crader; her sister-in-law, Greta Martin and her brother-in-law, Leo Crader.

Pallbearers will be Louis Martin, Michael Martin, Larkie Broussard, Seth Prejean, Gerrad Theriot and Jason Theriot.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Kopnicky, Landen Hebert and Braden Authement.
