Byron Earl Davis

Byron Earl Davis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on May 23, 1945, in Jennings, Louisiana, Byron lived a life full of love, laughter, and service to others.

Byron was known for his warm heart and dedication to his family. He took great joy in picking up his grandchildren for school and always had a whistle ready to share with the kids around the neighborhood. His simple pleasures in life reflected his generous spirit and love for those around him.

He served proudly in the Army before starting a long career at Borden's, where he worked tirelessly for 32 years. After retiring, Byron continued to contribute to his community by working with K & K Water.

Byron is survived by his loving wife, Joann Davis; son, Brent (Rhonda) Davis; and four cherished grandchildren: Gage Lopez, Riley Benoit, Keaton Davis, and Kohen Davis. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his kindness and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, LA. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the funeral home from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. A funeral service to honor his life and legacy will be held at 10:00 AM with Pastor Phil Doucet officiating. He will be laid to rest in Maxie Cemetery with Military Honors, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Byron was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Davis and Mary "Aspazie" Davis, and his loving sister, Yvonne Bourque.
