Brooke Elizabeth Richard

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brooke Elizabeth Richard, who left this world on May 31, 2026, at the age of 35. Born on August 13, 1990, in Crowley, Louisiana, Brooke was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.

Brooke dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Camelot Brookside. Her unwavering commitment to her residents reflected her nurturing nature and deep compassion for those around her. She was known for her loving kindness, and her ability to make everyone feel valued and cared for.

Beyond her dedication to family and work, Brooke found joy in simple pleasures-especially the calming sounds of the ocean. She loved visiting the beach, where she felt at peace and connected with nature, reminding all who knew her of the beauty of life.

A proud mother, Brooke cherished her two children, Andrae Sams and Alayia Sams, pouring her heart and soul into being the best parent possible. Brooke is also survived by her mother, Jeni Richard; her father, Glenn (Sheila) Richard ; her cherished siblings, Heidi (Robbie) Dunn Soignier, Kristan (Chad) Richard Chapman, Logan (Brooklyn) Richard, Maggie (Eric) Richard Hanks, and Abbygail Richard; numerous nieces and nephews; her four legged pup, Silly; her special friends Terri Manuel and Michelle Lantz Deshotel; and a multitude of extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.

A public viewing will be held at Miguez Funeral Home in the South Chapel, on Wednesday June 3, 2026, from 12:30 PM until 4:00 PM. A funeral service to honor her life will take place in the chapel at 4:00 PM with Pastor Paul Cavenah officiating. The family will be honoring her wishes of cremation following the service.

Brooke Elizabeth Richard was a beautiful soul who loved life, her family, and God. Though she has departed from this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing her.
