It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Ann "Nannie" Gautreaux, who left us peacefully on April 28, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on January 5, 1943, in Lake Arthur, Louisiana, Bonnie lived a full and vibrant life that touched the hearts of everyone she met.

She is a proud graduate of Lake Arthur High School, Class of 1961, she also attended Spencer Business College, in 1962. Bonnie began her career as a bank teller, dedicating over 50 years to the banking industry, where she became a beloved figure among her colleagues and customers alike. She was known not just for her professionalism, but for her warm smile and friendly demeanor, which brightened the day for many.

On June 26, 1965, Bonnie married the love of her life, Ernest "Sheeney" Gautreaux. Their marriage was a testament to love, partnership, and devotion. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and cherished memories that will be passed down through their family.

Bonnie is survived by her dear nephews, Kyle (Meghan) Klein, Robbie (Alexis) Klein, Nick (Sadie) Klein, Kevin (Fran) Klein, and niece Renetta (Kevin) Breaux, who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Visitation will begin on Sunday May 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings. A rosary will be held the same day at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday May 4, 2026, from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM, which will be the time to depart for Mass.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday May 4, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau, LA. Bonnie will be laid to rest in the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Those carrying her to her final resting place will be Kyle Klein, Robbie Klein, Nick Klein, Kevin Klein, Paul Courts, and Ivy Woods, and those serving as honorary pallbearers will be Case, Khye, and Charlie Klein.

Bonnie will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; Paul and Fredia Guillory Broussard, her dear husband; Ernest Gautreaux, and her loving sister; Greta Faye (Robert) Klein.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to her special caregivers, Candace Istre and Cynthia Oliver, Dr. Rick Edwards and Staff, Jeff Davis Living Center, and Lamm Hospice, for all the love and care they have given her.
