Bonna Belle Anderson

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Bonna Belle (Bryan) Anderson, 88, will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2011 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings with Rev. John Couch officiating. Burial will be in the China Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 5:00 p.m., Thursday until time of service. Mrs. Anderson died at 1:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2011 at her residence in Jennings. Mrs. Anderson was a native of Jennings and resident of Elton over 50 years then moving back to Jennings. She was a graduate of the Jennings High School class of 1940 and LSU-Baton Rouge with a degree in Home Economics. She taught in Elton for several years then joined the family businesses, Miguez Funeral Home, and Jeff Davis Mortuary Benefit Association. She was a licensed funeral director and licensed insurance agent. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church, Jennings. Survivors include her half-sister, Mrs. Carol Theunissen of Jennings and Roxanne Allen of Elton whom she looked to as a daughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Ora Johnson Miguez; her husband, Roy W. Anderson and her sister, Dorothy Mae Bryan.
