LAKE ARTHUR

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Scoggin, 88, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the First Baptist Church in Lake Arthur with Pastor Barrett Marcantel officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.

Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.

Mrs. Scoggin died at 12:55 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017 in the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice.

She was a native of Denton, TX moving here in 1958. She loved going to church and reading her Bible.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Boudreaux and Sarah Cormier both of Elton; two sons, James Scoggin of Galveston, TX and Paul Scoggin of Jennings; two sisters, Frances Alexander and Evelyn Fiorenza both of TX; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Scoggin, Jr.; her parents, Clarence Eugene Pace and Viola Floy McCraw; her son Timothy Lee Scoggin and one grandchild Brandon Lee Scoggin.
