Mr. Bennett James Hanks, 69 of Jennings, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at his residence.  He was born in Jennings to parents, Willard, and Alice Broussard Hanks on July 5, 1952. 

After his high school graduation, he went to work as a welder in the construction industry. Mr. Hanks enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and golf.

A visitation for Mr. Hanks will be held on Monday, October 4, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with cremation to follow afterwards.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Bernadine “Denny” Viator Hanks; daughter, Eve Gott of Basile; son, Chris (Heather) Hanks of Jennings; sister Benita (John) LeGros of Roanoke; six grandchildren, Elissa, Kylie, Cameron, Gvokia Chloey and Gvohnne; and great grandchildren, Holden, Austyn, Jaxon, Gabbie, Kayden, and Remi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Tiffany Lehman; and three grandchildren, Madison, Jayce and Taylor.
