Mrs. Barbara Ann Menard Dartez, 73, died at 10:05 a.m., Sunday, December 2, 2018 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Mrs. Dartez wishes were to be cremated.

Arrangements are under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She was a lifelong resident of Jennings.  Mrs. Dartez was a devoted Christian who help anyone and she never knew a stranger.  She never told anyone no when asked for help.  She loved her family and friends.  She was a very strong person who rarely ever complained.

Survivors include two daughters, Eva Trahan of Grand Lake, Jamie Dartez of Houston, TX; four sons, Toby Dartez of Alvin, TX, Todd Dartez of Welsh, Ben Dartez of Opelousas, Patrick Dartez of Hathaway; the father of her children, Nealis James Dartez; one sister, Debra Istre of Roanoke; four brothers, Terris, Wayne, Bill and Matthew Menard; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Delton and Delia Cormier Menard.
