Austin Young

December 22, 1948 — May 21, 2025

Austin Young, cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, at the age of 76, in Jennings, LA. Born on December 22, 1948, Austin led a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and country.

Austin proudly served in the U.S. National Guard, embodying the spirit of service and commitment. He will be remembered for his warm heart and gentle nature. In his earlier years, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from hunting squirrels in the woods to crabbing along the waterways. He loved to unwind with his favorite television shows, often surrounded by his family, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories. He worked in the Oil and Gas industry for many years and retired in recent years from working with the State of Louisiana.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Young, whom he married 44 years ago, and their three devoted daughters-Tricia Dupuis, Candace "Buddy" Bond, and Kristen "Kevin" Trahan. He will also be missed by his sister-in-law, Rhonda Young and numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friends who were dear to him, Steve and Frances Miller. Austin's love for his family was profound, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Austin's legacy of kindness and devotion to those he loved will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He touched many lives with his presence, and his spirit will continue to inspire.
