Anthony Lee Atkinson

Funeral services for Mr. Anthony Lee Atkinson, 60, of Jennings will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the First Pentecostal Church of Jennings with Bro. James Townley officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.  

Visitation for Mr. Atkinson will begin at the church on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. and continue until the service at 1:00 p.m.  

Mr. Atkinson was born on November 9, 1961, in Chicago, IL to parents Leonard and Bessie Fezia Atkinson.  He moved to the Jennings area in 2002 from Orange, TX.  Mr. Atkinson worked as a custodian for the Jefferson Davis Parish School System.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, barbequing, and church.  

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Angela Goodwin Atkinson; daughters, Bre’ana (Joshua) Eugene of Morse, Kimberly Atkinson of Jennings and Dimeaneek Burks; sons, Andrew (Kayla) Goodwin of Orange, TX, Tony Monroe and Johnathan Gentry; sisters, Vanessa Daugherty, Constance Atkinson and Lillie Platt, all of Orange, TX; brothers, Leonard Atkinson of Orange, TX and Timothy Atkinson of Jennings; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Curtis Atkinson.
