Funeral services for Mrs. Angela Marie Goodwin Atkinson, 58, of Morse will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in Jennings First Pentecostal Church with Pastor James Townley officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Atkinson will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 9 at the church and continue until service time.

Mrs. Atkinson was born on October 6, 1963, in Lafayette to Herbert and Mary Lou LeBlanc.  She was a high school graduate and was a homemaker after marrying the love of her life, Anthony Atkinson, who is now deceased.  She loved going to church and interacting with other people.  Spending time with her family and engaging in activities with her kids and grandkids who was very special to her.  She also enjoyed word search puzzles, as well as walking and riding her bike around town.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kimberly Atkinson of Jennings and Breana (Joshua) Eugene of Morse; a son, Andrew (Kayla) Goodwin of Orange, TX; her mother, Mary Lou LeBlanc of Jennings; three sisters, Jacqueline Bourne and Sylvia Goodwin, both of Jennings and Roxanne Saunders of San Antonio; and two grandchildren, Amari Goodwin, Christian Goodwin and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Atkinson; her father, Herbert LeBlanc; a daughter, Laquita Atkinson and a brother, Joseph Goodwin.
