Allen George Fontenot, Jr.

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Allen George Fontenot, Jr., 51, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Burial will be in the Bertrand Cemetery near Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:30 a.m., until 10:00 p.m., today, Friday; and 8:00 a.m., Saturday until time of services. A rosary led by Deacon Tramel will be recited at 6:00 p.m. today, Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Fontenot died at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Fontenot was a resident of Lake Arthur and retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development with 13 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing and animals. He enjoyed watching wrestling and was an American Idol fan. Survivors include his significant other, Byron James Landry of Lake Arthur; his parents, Allen George and Mable Marcantel Fontenot, Sr.; one sister, Barbara Fontenot Granger and husband, Keith of Jennings; four brothers, Larry Dale Fontenot of Ragley, Terry James Fontenot and wife Jean of Jennings, Mark Allen Fontenot of Roanoke and Kenneth Fontenot and wife Jane of Roanoke.
