Aline Marie Babineaux

Feb 1, 1946 — Oct 2, 2026

Aline Babineaux, age 80, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

Born and raised in Jennings, Louisiana, Aline lived a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and service. A devoted Catholic, she was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and her local Rosary Group. Her faith guided her throughout her life and was reflected in her kindness and generosity toward others.

Aline shared a beautiful life with her husband, Jim Babineaux. They met when she was only 16 years old, beginning a love story that would span 63 years. Together, they built a family grounded in faith, love, and commitment. Their devotion to one another was an enduring example to their children and grandchildren.

Aline was the loving mother of three sons, Tony Babineaux and wife Brandy Babineaux, Ken Babineaux and Sandi Haydel, and Brandon Babineaux and fiancée La Tonja Franklin. Her extended family is Kristi Babineaux. She took great pride in her family and found tremendous joy in watching it grow through the generations.

Her grandchildren include Brock, Jordan, Tristan, and Collin Babineaux; Ryan Courville, Kain Babineaux, and Katie Babineaux Rudd and Joshua Rudd Husband; and Peyton and Bryson Babineaux and Kamiron Chaisson.

She was also blessed with her great-grandchildren, Annie, Allison, Ellie, Penny, Sawyer, Hazel, and Austin Babineaux, and great great-grandchild Koen Chaisson who brought great happiness to her life.

Aline enjoyed playing Pokeno, going to the casino, gardening, camping, dancing, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends. She especially treasured the simple moments spent surrounded by the people she loved.

Service to her community was an important part of Aline's life. She served as State Treasurer for Louisiana Volunteers for Family & Community and was active with Jeff Davis Parish Volunteers for Family & Community. She was also involved with the Cajun French Music Association. Through her church and community involvement, she generously gave her time, formed lasting friendships, and touched many lives.

Above all, Aline loved her family. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loving wife who shared more than six decades of life with Jim. Her family will remember her laughter, strength, faith, generous heart, and the countless memories they were blessed to share with her.

Aline's family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on October 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, Louisiana. A rosary will be held at 6:00 PM in the chapel led by Our Lady of Grace Court 1964 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the funeral home from 8:00 AM until the time to depart to church for mass at 9:30 AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Hathaway, Louisiana with Father Bill Miller officiating. She will be laid to rest in Doucet Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Aline was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Hanks; her father, Adolf Hanks; her brother Curtis Hanks and her grandson, David Babineaux.

Although her passing leaves emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, Aline leaves behind a lasting legacy in the family she helped build, the people whose lives she touched, and the memories that will be carried forward for generations.

Her family finds comfort in their faith and in knowing that Aline's earthly journey has ended and her eternal life with God has begun.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7
